Documentoscopy: minimize the risk of fraud with the new Clicksign authentication
Every 7 minutes, an attempted fraud using false identity documents is registered in Brazil, according to Serasa Experian. In this scenario, to help companies protect their processes and ensure increasingly secure businesses, Clicksign launches Documentoscopy, a new authentication that validates the identity document of the person signing the contract.
Documentoscopia can be integrated directly into your systems via API, optimizing your workflow and bringing more security to your subscriptions.
Learn how this technology works and why it is a differential for your business.
What is Documentoscopy?
Documentoscopia is a digital authentication that uses a technical analysis process to verify the authenticity and integrity of identity documents, such as the General Registry (RG) and the National Driver's License (CNH), comparing them with security standards and features and identifying possible fraud or tampering.
The validation is carried out in real time and also includes a double check of the social security number, comparing the number of the document photographed with the one provided for signature.
Through Documentoscopia, inconsistent documents are automatically blocked in the signing process, preventing the contract from becoming fraudulent and invalid.
How does Documentoscopy work on Clicksign?
The signing process with Documentoscopia on Clicksign is performed in real time at the time the document is signed, and has three initial steps:
- Identification of the type of document: the system automatically recognizes whether the document sent is an RG, CNH, or CIN.
- Data reading: OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology extracts important information, such as social security number and issuance and expiration dates.
- Verification and validation: the system crosses the extracted data with specific rules. The document's number must be the same as the number entered in the signature, and the expiration date must be within the allowed period
After this initial check, the document undergoes an automated analysis with an intelligence provider. This process detects potential fraud by comparing colors, formats, and patterns of the original document, identifying changes or manipulations. If there are any irregularities, the document is rejected, avoiding the risk of signatures with false information.
The use of Documentoscopia costs R$ 4.50 per use, with easy integration via API to optimize your workflows.
Benefits of Documentoscopy
Among the benefits of having Documentoscopy authentication are:
Minimizing the risk of fraud
Documentoscopia detects changes, falsifications, and inconsistencies in identity documents, preventing tampered information from being used in signatures. This dramatically reduces scam attempts and ensures that only legitimate documents are accepted.
Agile and secure conferencing process
Unlike manual checks, which can be time-consuming and subject to human errors, Documentoscopia analyzes the identification document in real time, at the time of signing, without impacting the user experience. The analysis is fast and efficient, providing agility to your processes.
Full verification of documents
Going beyond a simple visual check, Documentoscopia analyzes security elements and verifies data such as social security number and document validity to guarantee its authenticity.
Simple and efficient integration
Available via API, Documentoscopia can be easily incorporated into your company's systems, making document authentication more secure and automatic.
